Description

This dataset represents the Base Flow Index (BFI; Institute of Hydrology 1980), representing the ratio of the base flow to the total inflow, calculated for six significant hydrographic basins in Puglia (IT), namely Fortore, Candelaro, Cervaro, Carapelle, Ofanto, Bradano. The BFI was calculated on a 30-year basis from 2041 to 2070 under RCP8.5 IPCC-AR5 emission scenario, being the long term future period in the Pilot 3 of ORIENTGATE project (https://orientgateproject.org/). Daily streamflow data were derived from hydrological modeling by ArcSWAT driven by regional climate simulations with COSMO-CLM, as performed in ORIENTGATE. The dataset contains information on the basin name (NOME), surface in square kilometers (area_km2) and the BFI.
